Dr. Fazio was friends with author Michael Frome, was involved with the University of Idaho-Wilderness Research Center’s lecture series, was a founding member of the Idaho Trails Council, and was also involved with the Overthrust Industrial Association (OIA) of Denver, Colorado. The OIA was an organization of 36 oil and gas producers and service/supply firms founded in 1980 by Chevron, Amoco, and Champlin.
